The wooden mask with a sheepskin cloak combines demonic and human features. A pipe, missing here, would usually be lodged in the gap between the teeth. In Hungary, wooden masks are only found in areas which were subject to German influences, such as here amongst the southern Slavic Šokci in Mohács. Busó-masks used to be worn by married men at the busó procession heralding the end of the carnival period.
