The propaganda poster “Celebrating Vietnam’s Complete Victory, Building a Strong and Prosperous Nation” was created in 1975 by artist Thục Phi and published the same year by the Propaganda Poster Workshop of the Central Fine Arts Company in an edition of 40,000 copies.
The work was produced to commemorate the reunification of Vietnam following the historic victory of April 30, 1975, and to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the success of the August Revolution. Through its triumphant imagery and uplifting message, the poster expressed the joy, pride, and optimism of the Vietnamese people as the country entered a new era of peace, national reunification, and socialist construction with the aspiration of building a strong and prosperous homeland.
