“Diabinho” Telegraph Switchboard

This Swiss-style telegraph switchboard for six lines is quadrangular in shape and made of light-coloured wood with a dark base and edges. On its top it has a mesh of metal strips on which are the points into which the keys insert. There are six screws arranged vertically and six arranged horizontally. It also contains three keys. Its chief characteristic is its similarity to a chess board.
