Along with Eldridge Cleaver and others, comedian and activist Dick Gregory was a candidate for the Peace and Freedom Party presidential nomination. When Cleaver received the nomination, Gregory formed the Freedom and Peace Party and ran with multiple running mates in different states. In 1968, Gregory wrote about his presidential run in his book, Write Me In.
