“Fidelity”

The sculptor Jean-Jacques Caffieri, best known for his busts, also made allegorical works such as this marble figure representing Fidelity. There is a signed and dated plaster version of this work in Nissim de Camondo’s bedroom on the First Floor of the mansion.
