The Main Barn was constructed in 1888. It was meant to be a model barn for well-off farmers, consisting of grain storage, cow-rearing accommodations, and a barnyard.
Unfortunately, the original barn burned down in 1913. A new, almost identical structure was built in its place in 1914, maintaining a very similar appearance to the original.
Today, this building is part of the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum.
