“Wielopole, Wielopole” was first performed in Florence on 23rd June 1980. In late 1978, Tadeusz Kantor was invited to put up a new performance in Italy, where he went accompanied by the Cricot 2 team in November 1979. Thanks to the authorities of Florence, Kantor had the building of a former convent in via Santa Maria 25 at his disposal. “Wielopole, Wielopole” is another grand production of the Theatre of Death after the international success of “The Dead Class”. The Cricot 2 Theatre performed “Wielopole, Wielopole” more than 200 times worldwide until 1989.
