This sketch of Chinese junks in Canton was probably drawn by Lieutenant Piercey Brett when HMS Centurion visited Canton in 1742/3. The image was one of several illustrations in Anson's Voyage Around the World, in the Years 1740-1744 which was written under George Anson's direction by his chaplain (priest aboard a ship) Richard Walter in 1748.
