Wuzhen is one of the well-preserved old towns in the Jiangnan?region. since the town was established in 872A.D. , Wuzhen has never changed its From its establishment in 872 CE (Common Era) during the Tang Dynasty, this water town has grown and prospered maintaining a strong identity and life style under its original birth name of Wuzhen. Wuzhen East Scenic Zone features a complete and rich life atmosphere with different characteristics of hand-workshops, traditional shops and a variety of pavilions. After four years of conservation, Wuzhen West Scenic Zone is composed of twelve islands surrounded by clear water, truly presenting the features of the ancient town of Jiangnan water town in China. It has well conserved a huge area of traditional architecture and alleys of Ming and Qing dynasties, retaining the original charm of those old buildings.
