Clipper ship 'Oriental', late 19th century

The 'Oriental' was built by Jacob Bell, New York for the New York merchants A. A. Low & Brother and in 1849 for the China trade. She holds the New York to Hong Kong record (81 days) and was the first American ship to carry a tea cargo from China to London.
