Born in Saitama prefecture in 1887. He has a huge interests in sewing from a young age, and in 1903 he became pupil of Iijima Fujin Yohukuten, one of the three notorious tailors in Meiji era. He studied and gain knowledge and skill of tailoring Ladies’ and Children’s Clothes for 18 years. Then he became independent and opened own tailor in 1919. At the same time, �he founded “Namiki Fujin Kodomohuku Saiho Kyojujo(Namiki Ladies and Children’s Sewing School)”. After teaching at “Kosaka Saiho Jogakko Yohukuka”(Kosaka Sewing Girls School Western Clothing Course) and “Singer Michin Saiho Jogakko (Singer Sewing Machine Girls School)”, He founded “Bunka Saiho Gakuin(Bunka Sewing School)” and served as headmaster in 1922. In the new era of dressmaking, he created the educational system and lay the first foundation of clothing education. He died in 1933 at the age of 46.
