Beni Museum

Beni Museum
Tokyo, Japan

There were two types of Kunaisho Goyotashi licenses. One was honorary and the other was for purveyance. The honorary one was given free of charge upon passing a rigorous examination, and the purveyance license was purchased and supplied from the budget of the Imperial Household Department. This invoice has spaces for items about the products (their denomination, number, unit price, total price, and notes). In addition there is a space for ichikin, which means the grand total. This invoice was prepared to purvey beni to the Imperial Household Department.
