The hilt on this greyish green sword, with a flat grip and without pommel or cross-guard, indicates that it originated from the earlier copper swords of the Central Plain of China. There is clear bulge on one side of the grip. The blade of this sword features an apparent girdle in shape, with a central ridge leading to a sharp point. The design of this sword helped to increase its puncture force by decreasing its weight while maintaining the stiffness.
