Hangzhou, China

This name card case is made purely of gold-coated silver wire following complicated procedures based on an ingenious design. The artisan first wove a frame out of thick silver wire, and then welded fine silver filigree onto the frame. Regarding embellishment, there is an openwork flying dragon on both the front and the back around cloud patterns on a foundation of “井”-shaped motifs woven with fine silver wire.
