A mallet and curved hatchets, Edo wooden tub

All traces of bitterness have been removed from the natural sawara cross-cut logs used in the tubs. The wooden mallet and specially shaped traditional nata blade used to split the slats for the side of the tubs. The angle of the curve depends on the size of the tub.
