China National Silk Museum

China National Silk Museum
Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China

This bedspread is mainly decorated with the floral medallion in the center, intertwining curly vines and belt-shaped pattern, among which small green leaves, chamomile flowers, butterflies and birds on branches are sporadically arranged. A central medallion surrounded by bird and floral motifs represents a common traditional Chinese design in embroidery, while intertwining vines and belt-shaped pattern are exported decorated elements.
