This is a cloth used to protect a mirror stand from dust. It was used both for protection and decoration, and was generally made of high-quality embroidered silk. The mirror stand cover shown here is made of orange-colored synthetic silk cut into an oval shape, with the edges fringed using pleated fabric. On the front are embroidered letters and peony blossom patterns, while attached to the bottom are three tassels. A semicircular patch is attached to the top of the rear side so that the mirror can be inserted into it.
