Gujokban, or a dog-legged small dining table, is a kind of soban, or a small dining table. Gujokban is also referred to as chungcheongban because it was once widely made in Chungcheong Province. This type of a small dining table is dodecagonal or circular in shape, and the composition of four legs connected to two footstools is the same as that of a tiger-legged small dining table, or hojokban. Gujokban was designed to enhance support for a heavy ban as the carved legs curve outward and the ends of the legs bend inward. Since the legs are thick and have no decorative lines, it is somewhat more masculine in design compared to hojokban. This small dining table is made of gingko or zelkova wood.
