This sutra is an annotated edition with Sixth Patriarch Huineng’s interpretation of Kumarajiva’s translation of the Diamond Sutra, which was the most widely distributed edition at the time. It was relief-carved on wood and published in 1305 at Wonheungsa Temple in Cheongju. The sutra appears to have been kept in a Buddha statue for some time after it was printed and only recently discovered and rebound.
