This jewellery box unusually has vertically opening doors on both sides. Where the doors meet the lid, there are locks decorated with depictions of flowers and fish, and the sides are reinforced with side wrappers. The doors are ornamented with a Chinese character for happiness, with cranes and clouds inlaid with mother of pearl. Furthermore on both sides there are blossoms and flowers, turtles and fish, cranes and pine trees, deers and tigers represented in a spatial way.
