Nambawi is a winter hood worn by both men and women in the Joseon Dynasty same as Pungcha. It occasionally had flaps to cover the chin and cheek to protect the face from winter’s coldness. This Nabawi is made of burgundy color satin damask with a big floral roundel pattern and lined with cotton flannel. It is bounded with black bias and trimmed with sable fur inserted between the two layers.
