Jang-ot was worn as an outerwear until mid-18th century, but it evetually evolved to a face-covering veil by the end of Joseon Dynasty. ThisJang-ot is made of green gyeoggwangju(tabby silk) and lined with a light pink starched-and-pulled ramie cloth.
