Model Answers to the Civil Service Examinations
This book includes the daechaekmun of 19 people, 16 of whom had passed the civil service literary examination and three of whom had passed the Joseon Dynasty licentiate examination from the sixth year of King Jungjong’s reign (1511) to the first year of the reign of King Myeongjong (1546). Daechaekmun was one of the subjects of the civil service examination, and it required writing one’s opinion on the Confucian classics or politics.
