Incheon, South Korea

The Giant Water Bug is known to have strong paternal love that it takes care of eggs before they are hatched. In the past, it was such a common species that it was easily spotted across the wetlands of the country, but due to habitat destruction by human activity and the ensuing drastic decrease in population size, it is only found in some limited areas of the country. It has been designated and protected as Endangered Wild Species Class II of Korea.
