War sketch by the late artist Woo Shin-chul, donated to the War Memorial of Korea on June 23, 2011. A pencil sketch finished with watercolor, depicting soldiers reading what is thought to be encouraging letters.
Artist Woo Shin-chul: Pen name “Dangwang,” born in Busan in 1911; departed October 23, 1991. To leave a record of the situation on the east coast front during the Korean War, Woo, together with other artists, followed friendly around the area. The sketches drawn during this time were donated to, and remain in the custody of the War Memorial of Korea.
