Ambedkar Nagar District is a district in Faizabad division, Uttar Pradesh, India. This district was created on 29 September 1995 and was named in memory of Bhimrao Ambedkar, who worked for the advancement of the deprived classes, women and other weaker sections of society. The total area of Ambedkar Nagar district is 2350 Sq. Km.
