Samuel Calvert was a British draughtsman, printer and painter active in Australia. Calvert is also noted for his wood-engravings, published in contemporary periodicals. William Samuel Calvert was engaged in his father's printing business and continued its publications when Calvert was in England. He was the third son of the painter Edward Calvert, and was the author of a memoir of his father published in a limited printing in 1893.
