Ade Adekola is a Nigerian conceptual artist, painter and writer. He authored the book "Icons of a Metropolis: A Visual Story of Lagos" Ade's work practice was driven by his interest in cultural preservation and cultural transformation and his deep knowledge of the African experience in a contemporary world where he tries to reimagine and represent alternate futures. He also explores topical urban issues through documentation of everyday city people as a form of expression.
