Luigi Vanvitelli

Luigi Vanvitelli, known in Dutch as Lodewijk van Wittel, was an Italian engineer and architect. The most prominent 18th-century architect of Italy, he practised a sober classicising academic Late Baroque style that made an easy transition to Neoclassicism.
