Douglas G. Hurley

Douglas Gerald Hurley is an American engineer, former Marine Corps pilot and current NASA astronaut. He piloted space shuttle missions STS-127 and STS-135, the final flight of the space shuttle program. He launched into space for the third time as commander of Crew Dragon Demo-2, the first crewed spaceflight from American soil since STS-135. He was also the first Marine to fly the F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet. His call sign is "Chunks", and he was sometimes referred to by this name on the communication loops.
