For a long time, art did not concern itself much with the topic of space. However, since new forms of expression such as performance, installation and film found their way into the realm of art in the 1960s, space has become a vital theme and experience in modern and contemporary artistic output.
"Resonating Spaces" is the title of our autumn exhibition. It brings together exemplary works by renowned contemporary artists, who give varied forms to specific qualities of spatiality – acoustic, sculpted or drawn. What they have in common is that they all create sites in which images and memories come to life.
