Proverb weighs over 41,000 pounds. The sculpture was originally installed at the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas. It was moved to Tippet Rise in 2015.
di Suvero pioneered the use of a crane as a sculptor's working tool.
At Tippet Rise, Proverb was reassembled during a windstorm, its compass legs dangling from the enormous crane.
