Psycho Buildings: Artists Take On Architecture marked Hayward Gallery’s 40th anniversary as one of the world’s most architecturally unique exhibition venues.

The exhibition featured ten artists – including Michael Beutler, Mike Nelson, Ernesto Neto and Rachel Whiteread – who create habitat-like structures and architectural environments that are perceptual and psychological spaces as much as physical ones.

Among the works in the exhibition was a boating lake constructed by Austrian art collective Gelitin. Situated on one of the outdoor sculpture terraces, this work allowed visitors to row across the London skyline.
