Instrument Playground is a Google AI powered experiment from Simon Doury, artist in Residence at Google Arts & Culture Lab, that lets the user explore and create music inspired by instruments from around the globe - from a Veena to a Ukulele to Congas.

The user can select any of over 100 instruments from around the world and Lyria will generate a 20 second sound clip inspired by it. He They can add an adjective to the prompt, such as 'moody', 'happy', or 'romantic' to influence the results. Then, its up to the user to play and create with the sound clip, choosing either Ambient, Beat or Pitch modes. The Advanced mode, with a Sequencer, allows the user to layer up to four instruments to play a sequence of notes.
