Capsized hull of the USS Oklahoma BB-37, a sister ship of the USS Nevada. USS Oklahoma received three torpedo hits almost immediately and as she began to capsize two or more torpedoes hit. Salvage work began in March 1943 and she entered drydock 28 December 1943. Decommissioned in September 1944 tripped of guns and superstructure, she was used for scrap and sank under tow 17 March 1947. 26 Foot motor whale boat from USS Solace AN-5 hospital ship in foreground; other launches and barge unidentified.
