Four GE J-47 turbojets, in twin pods, have replaced the piston engines in this jet powered version of the Air Force Chase XC-123. The Jet flew for the first time at the Mercer County Airport, W. Trenton NJ April 21. Rated at 5,200 pounds of thrust each, the four J-47 Turbojets provide 20,800 pounds of thrust of driving force.
