The idea of building Bangkok Art and Culture Centre came from the Thai Artists’ Network. They wanted to have a contemporary art center for the general public that was current with international trends, fulfilled national pride, and provided a place for art and cultural learning with advancing material culture.
Therefore, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) was built, and was opened to the public in 2008. Today it is a place for people to meet, and to help define and make culture.
