Museo Central. Banco Central de Reserva del Perú
Lima, Peru

The Central Museum (MUCEN) is the main headquarters of the Museum Network of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru. It is a cultural space in which dialogue is used as a tool to generate community; where, by interacting with art and with other visitors, we recognize ourselves as heirs to a cultural tradition that dates back thousands of years, which has been enriched and transformed over time, shaping our current cultural diversity.

The Central Museum is a cozy space that opens its doors in an intense corner of our city, between the Lampa and Ucayali shreds. Like an Andean tambo, a small shelter and storage center, the museum welcomes you and welcomes you so that you can take a break on your way. In our galleries you can always find a work that inspires you, a friendly and entertaining learning experience.

The Central Museum's collection is a representative sample of Peruvian art of all times, from millinery times to the 21st century. In our archeology, popular traditional art, and republican and contemporary painting rooms, both the continuity and the artistic transformations that occurred in different periods and regions of our country are reflected.
