Book Buzz Foundation

The Book Buzz Foundation was founded in 2012 by Lola Shoneyin, an award-winning writer, publisher, bookseller and Culture activist. The aims of the Book Book Foundation include promoting literacy through the development of reading programmes for children and organising literature-focused events such as the Ake Arts & Book Festival and the Kaduna Book and Arts Festival which takes place in northern Nigeria. The festivals are four-day programmes of cultural, artistic and literary events that include readings, master classes, school visits, stage plays, film screenings, musical presentations, workshops, performances and talks delivered by both Nigerian and international authors, thinkers, poets, filmmakers, actors, artists and academics.
