Cambridge University Botanic Garden opened in 1846 and has been a focus and stimulus for science, research and learning ever since. Today, we curate and cultivate a plant collection of over 8,000 species from around the world. The Garden provides resources including plant material, horticultural expertise and facilities to research workers and lecturers and the beautiful, heritage listed gardens and glasshouses offer year-round interest to gardeners and a brilliant way to explore the natural world for families.
