Los Angeles, CA, United States

Constitutional Rights Foundation (CRF) is a non-profit, non-partisan organization providing social studies curriculum, programs, and teacher professional development to schools throughout the nation. We specialize in civic education with the goal of educating and empowering youth to become informed and engaged citizens.

The Barat Education Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) created in 2000 to promote a commitment to and recognition of the importance of preparing students BOTH for careers and engaged citizenship, enabling them to become community leaders and mentors to future generations. Barat is a partner of the Library of Congress’s Teaching with Primary Sources (TPS) program. TPS works with an educational consortium of schools, universities, libraries, and foundations to help teachers use the Library’s vast collection of digitized primary sources to enrich their classroom instruction.

The TPS-Barat initiative is a unique opportunity for teachers and students to participate in project-based learning activities using primary sources.
