The DMZ Museum opened on August 14, 2009 to provide the most accurate information of the glooming history of separation, to rewrite the history of unification transcending the pain and conflicts of the Cold War era, and to hand down the legacy of DMZ to the next generation. The history, military remains, culture and ecology are collected in this museum. However, the museum will be finally completed when all area of DMZ including the North can be joined by reunification. Until the day of reunification, we expect everyone will join the efforts to preserve every aspect of DMZ as a historical heritage of the Korean Peninsula.
