The Eva Klabin Museum hosts the collection formed by Eva Klabin (1903–1991). One of the most important collections of classical art of any Brazilian museum, it contains more than two thousand pieces covers a timespan of almost 50 centuries, from Ancient Egypt to Impressionism.
Over the years of its existence, the Eva Klabin House Museum has devised and produced a variety of cultural activities for the visiting public, making the house museum a reference in the Rio cultural scene. Alongside the guided visits to the collection, these activities include exhibitions, concerts, courses and lectures.
As for the collection, it consists of sculptures, furniture items, objets d’art, and paintings by some of the great masters, including Tintoretto, Botticelli, Pissarro, Marie Laurencin, and Lasar Segall, as well as personal objects and documents that reveal details of the collector's life and legacy.
