Glasgow Women’s Library is the only Accredited Museum in the UK dedicated to women’s lives, histories and achievements, with a lending library, archive collections and innovative programme of public events and learning opportunities. The archive and museum collection is recognised as a Nationally Significant Collection.

The premises in Glasgow's East End holds a wonderful treasure trove of historical and contemporary artefacts and archive materials from Suffragette memorabilia and 1930s dress making patterns to rare 1970s Scottish Women’s Liberation newsletters.

The organisation has grown from a small grassroots project into the main hub for information by, for and about women in Scotland, offering specialised learning, collections and archives.

Glasgow Women's Library is a National organisation, delivering over 200 innovative events and activities across Scotland every year, from film screenings to guided walks and core programmes including Adult Literacy and Numeracy and Black and Minority Ethnic Women’s Projects.
