Hayward Gallery is a world-renowned contemporary art gallery and a landmark of Brutalist architecture. Since its inaugural exhibition of the work of Henri Matisse in 1968, the gallery has presented the work of many of the world’s most influential and inventive artists, from Anthony Caro and Bridget Riley to Tracey Emin and Martin Creed. Over the past five decades its in-depth surveys of individual artists and ambitious group show have helped to shape and define contemporary art in the UK and beyond.
Hayward Gallery is part of Southbank Centre, the UK’s largest arts centre, occupying a 17 acre site that sits in the midst of London’s most vibrant cultural quarter on the South Bank of the Thames.
