The Laz Institute, founded in 2013 in Istanbul, is dedicated to preserving and revitalizing the Laz language (Lazuri) and culture. It develops educational resources, trains teachers, and helped introduce Lazuri as an elective in Turkish schools and universities. The Institute also documents Laz oral history, music, and traditions, and creates digital tools like dictionaries, podcasts, and animated content.
