The Memory of Nations a collection of memories from people who experienced the totalitarian regimes of the 20th century in the Czech Republic and then-Czechoslovakia. It includes more than 5,000 memories from the veterans of World War II, resistance fighters, Holocaust survivors, political prisoners of communism, dissidents and representatives of the communist regime, as well as photographs and various historical records. The collection is open to the public as an online database. It's run by Post Bellum, Czech non-profit organization established in 2001 that records witnesses’ memories in cooperation with the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes and Czech Radio.
