mica – music austria ist der professionelle Partner für Musikschaffende in Österreich.
mica – music austria wurde 1994 als unabhängiger, gemeinnütziger Verein auf Initiative der Republik Österreich gegründet. Die Ziele des Vereins sind die Unterstützung der in Österreich lebenden zeitgenössischen Musikschaffenden durch Beratung und Information, die Verbreitung österreichischen Musikschaffens durch Promotion im In- und Ausland, die Verbesserung der Rahmenbedingungen des Musikschaffens in Österreich und die Forschung auf dem Gebiet der Gegenwartsmusik.

Founded in 1994 as an independent, non-profit association, on the initiative of the Republic of Austria, the primary goals of mica – music austria are to provide information on the Austrian music scene, to support Austria-based musicians with advice and information, to promote local music at home and abroad, and to improve the conditions for music productions in Austria.
