Museo de Las Américas

Museo de Las Américas

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Museo de Las Americas is a non-profit institution founded in 1992. Its mission is to offer a synoptic vision of the history and culture of the American continent, emphasizing Puerto Rico, through our exhibition programs and cultural activities. The Museum has four permanent exhibitions:
Popular Arts in the Americas, The African Heritage, The American Indian, and Conquest and Colonization: Birth and Evolution of the Puerto Rican Nation.

For the past 30 years, the Museum has presented over 525 temporary exhibitions on art, history and anthropology. The diversity of the exhibition program allows us to offer a range of creative workshops, conferences, symposiums, musical performances, among other activities, thus extending the field of impact to the community both inside and outside its headquarters.

Museo de Las Americas is a multidisciplinary, multicultural and multidimensional learning museum, responding to a diverse community, which allows it to consolidate itself as a cutting-edge institution in Puerto Rico.

Museo de Las Americas, a journey to the very heart of our America.
