Museo Fernando Peña Defilló

The Fernando Peña Defilló Museum is a non-profit institution sponsored by the Fernando Peña Defilló Foundation and created with the main objective of sharing and publicizing the private family collection of a great master of Dominican painting, who throughout more than sixty-five years of hard work leaves a beautiful legacy for current and future generations.

The interest of the Museum is to present a great artist and an exceptional human being who from a very young age has highlighted his great Dominican spirit, always trying to rediscover the reality of his country at different stages of his life since he emigrated to Europe in 1951 until his return in 1963. Peña Defilló has been able to present an informalist style and transcend the figurative with skill and mastery.
